New Make-Up & Skincare Haul

Hey y’all!

I went to Ulta this past week to restock on some of my fave products and I ended up picking up a couple of new things to try as well. Also, I was #influenced by pretty much all of the “big name” bloggers that I follow and purchased a couple of items so I wanted to let you guys know how I fell about them!

First, I want to talk about my favorite setting spray. Everyone talks about the Urban Decay All-Nighter setting spray and truthfully I’m sure it’s fabulous. However, I think that people aren’t giving the Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Make-Up Setting Spray. My skin gets oily as the afternoon rolls around and this completely stops that oil in its tracks. Totally worth it to buy the 4 OZ bottle for $33 at Ulta!

I am not usually one for foundation, I haven’t ever worn one consistently. However, I am in a friend’s wedding next weekend and I needed some for the pictures. I tried a couple of brands that I had samples for in my make up bag to get an idea of what I liked and this one stood head and shoulders over the rest of the ones that I tried and the shade was perfect for me. NARS Sheer Glow definitely lives up to its name by giving a light glow and feeling like there’s nothing on your skin at all. I wear shade Santa Fe.

While I was waiting to check out at Ulta, I saw the travel size products that are around the line (very good marketing on their part and very dangerous for my budget lol). The one that caught my eye the most was a travel size of It Cosmetics CC+ Cream. I had seen Shelbi from itsallchictome.com rave about it and it was only $10 so I had to try it. I would definitely call it full coverage and I don’t think the color I bought matches my “winter skin tone” haha but I did like how it felt on my skin and I think it blended very well and it stayed through a whole day of working in my storeroom at work. I also love that it has SPF 50 so I think it’s going to be great for boat days as spring and summer roll around.

The last thing I got at Ulta was an Anti-aging eye cream from No 7. I use this at night with a heavier moisturizer than I wear during the day. I’m still waiting to look 16 again but I like that it’s not too heavy and that a little bit goes a long way. (I also use the No 7 day time moisturizer I’ll link it as well)

Has anyone else felt like Tula is slowly taking over the world? I feel like every influencer or blogger that I follow uses at least one of their products. I gave in to the massive amount of peer pressure and discount codes and bought the Glow and Get it Eye Balm and the Cult Classic Purifying Cleanser. After 2 weeks of using these products, I think I can safely say that these are worth the hype.

The Rose Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm is so strange and awesome all in one. When you put it on you can feel the temperature of your under eyes drop significantly and it feels tingly. Also, it has a really pretty highlight and I swear you can see it under your make up. I use this in the morning and just do a couple swipes under my eyes and then pat it in to my skin. I’ve seen a few gals on Instagram say that they put the balm over their make up for an afternoon refresh as well but I’ve tried it and I feel like it just made my make up look funky.

I was very lucky in my teen years that I didn’t have too big of a problem with acne. Usually, I would just get one pimple while I was on my period. Unfortunately, my acne has gotten more frequent recently so I have been on the hunt for a product that would minimize that. This cleanser is IT! I hope I’m not jinxing anything but I have been using this in the shower for the last two weeks and I haven’t had a pimple at all (and I’ve even been on my period)! I completely understand why it’s called the “Cult Classic”.

Alright lovelies! Let me know if these work for you and other things that you love and maybe we can those products together!

Amazon Workout Legging Try on

Hey lovelies!

I had a request for an Amazon workout pant try on, so here we go! I’m wearing a small in each of these and all except for the wild card is under $25, Prime, AND at least 4 star average reviews!!

90 Degree By Reflex – Magenta Haze – $21.99

These are great. Pass the squat test with flying colors, super high waisted and it is the talk of most of the bloggers that I follow. Comes in 39 super cute colors!

Here are those same leggings in black and a sassy face haha! Fit true to size!

Afitne – Spacedye White – $18.96

These are really good leggings. They’re fairly thick and they have 2 pockets! However, I got this color for the squat test, which it did not pass. These come in 4 other colors and I don’t think that this would be an issue with the two darker colors.

Healthyoga – Light purple – $16.99

These weren’t my fave. If you’re going to pick one from this group, these wouldn’t be the one but I think you get what you pay for. They’re a little tight so I would size up. They do have wonderfully large pockets! These come in 11 other colors (but I would tend towards the darker colors).

Afitne – Sage – $19.89

THESE ARE AMAZING! They are so buttery soft and thick. I also love the piping accents that I think make your muscles pop! 100% will buy another pair and 100% my fave from this try on.

CURVE BALL!

These aren’t from Amazon. They’re from a brand called Zella and I bought them Nordstrom and they were $55. Up until I tried those Jade Afitne leggings these were my favorites hands down. I bought two pairs and I don’t regret it at all. However, I think it speaks volumes that I prefer the Afitne ones.

So there you have it!

Happy shopping, lovelies!

HUGE LIFE CHANGES

Hi! My name is Kim, and if you knew almost anything about my life last week: FORGET IT! Literally, that is how much my life has changed in the last week or so. Here is a list of things that have changed in the month of April:

  1. I live in Richmond Hill, GA, one of the southern most suburbs on Savannah, GA.
    • I’m super excited about it! There is so many more food, gym, and shopping options, it’s pretty close to life-changing!
  2. I live in a super cute 3 bedroom, 2 bath house WITH A BOY!
    • That boy is my boyfriend, JT, and I’m very happy about it but the shock is still washing over me haha.
  3. The reason that we moved to Richmond Hill, is that I accepted a Purchasing Manager position with my company in downtown Savannah!
  4. I drive a 2018 Ford Edge that I bought with my first loan.
    • My first vehicular love, Pepe, finally drove his last drive and it was heartbreaking. Also, ISO a new nickname for my new vehicle.

It’s been a big week which is why I haven’t been posting, but get ready for a bunch of new house and Savannah content!

Happy shopping, lovelies!

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GIRL GANG!

Happy #internationalwomensday !! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GIRL GANG ✌🏼

….and their right for great jeans!!

These high waisted rockstar jeans from @oldnavy are GREAT jeans! And what makes them even better is that they are currently 30+% off right now!! I will definitely be buying another pair or two while they are on sale and I can not recommend them enough. They hit at just the right spot on my tummy with enough stretch to be comfortable and the perfect wash.

Happy shopping, lovelies!

H&M Work Wear Try On

Hey lovelies!

I have a TON of work travel this month because of conferences and I realized that I haven’t bought new work clothes in AGES. So I made a little trip to H&M and photographed a work wear try on to inspire y’all to do a spring refresh on your work wear!

First up is a blouse that I liked so much that I bought! I’ve been all about yellow recently and this too was so springy and comfy I couldn’t resist. (Truth: I have this exact same top in 2 other patterns 😬)

Similar long sleeve top – $15

This outfit is so stinking cute! Add a pair of nude or black flats and you are work day ready. These pants run a little small so I would size up one, I’m wearing a 6 here but I definitely would have bought an 8. The top is true to size and I am wear a small.

Tie front blouse – $35

Slacks – $15

These photos do not do the color of the dress justice. It was such a pretty olive/army green that is very on trend for spring this year. TTS, wearing a size 6. $25

Loved this dress so much I tried it in the yellow version too! $25

I cannot tell you how much I love this outfit! This whole outfit came home with me. Medium in the skirt and small in the top TTS

Blouse – $15

Skirt – $35

This one was a strong contender in the “come home with me” category but sadly limited funds means limited choices.

Not the exact but very close – $35

Another similar – $15

Last but not least, this super cute dress. This would be perfect if your office is a little more fancy than casual.

$35

Stay tuned in two weeks for how I styled the 3 pieces that I picked up today!

Happy shopping, lovelies!

Post-Christmas Home Decor Refresh

After my Christmas decor was packed away I felt like my apartment was sooo empty and bare. I put it off for a while because I am planning on moving to a house in July and it would just be one more thing that I would have to pack up and move. The bareness finally got the best of me this last weekend and I went to pretty much every chain home decor store in Brunswick. (That sounds more impressive than it is, there’s maybe 6 😂). The best part of it all was that JT wanted to come with me!

Tray: Target $30

Boxwood game plant: HomeGoods $30 (sorry cant link!)

Bronze too many sided object: (mine was on clearance but this one is similar) Pier1 $11

I’d been looking for one like this for a little while and I got this one on sale at HomeGoods! 😄. There are bunches of these at home decor shops and Amazon!

While I’m still looking something to go in the wire basket below my tv? I found these super cute vases that are currently on clearance!

Vases – Pier1 – $12

Basket – Target – $17

Bonus: I also got these super cute terry cloth Valentine’s Day hand towels for my kitchen! These are from HomeGoods and I cannot link them 🤦🏻‍♀️

Happy shopping, lovelies!

Heart eyes over heart patches 😍

Hey lovelies!

I’m thinking all things Valentine’s Day and I saw that Dede from @dreasupbuttercup got this sweater and fell in love!! Especially when I found out it was only $22!!

For this casual look, I paired it with this cranberry jumper dress and my fave black riding boots. This outfit would be cute for a casual workplace or lowkey evening outing. Not to mention I plan on wearing this until the GA heat returns since it’s not overly Valentines-y!

Let me know what you guys think and if you’d like a link to this cutie!

P.S. I also styled it for for a fancier evening look and I fell even more in love
