Happy #internationalwomensday !! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GIRL GANG โœŒ๐Ÿผ

….and their right for great jeans!!

These high waisted rockstar jeans from @oldnavy are GREAT jeans! And what makes them even better is that they are currently 30+% off right now!! I will definitely be buying another pair or two while they are on sale and I can not recommend them enough. They hit at just the right spot on my tummy with enough stretch to be comfortable and the perfect wash.

Happy shopping, lovelies!

Casual Fall-ish

When I asked y’all on Instagram stories what you wanted to see, several of you said outfits with booties. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!! I wore this to have dinner at JT’s work and he got told to “wife me up” by one of his co-workers so there you go lol.

All seriousness, I love a good t-shirt dress and this one is sooo soft with such a cute little detail on the front. A flannel shirt around the waist would also look super good instead of the chambray shirt I went with today. This outfit is also great when it’s officially fall but still 80 degrees here in south GA.

All of these items are old stand-bys for me so I linked some things that are similar at different price points!

Dress: Pink Lily Boutique – $37

Nordstrom Rack – $17

Amazon – $17

Chambray shirt: Pink Lily Boutique – $48 (denim jacket)

Nordstrom Rack – $25

Booties: Nordstrom – $100

Pink Lily Boutique – $39

Target – $35

Happy shopping, lovelies!!

Ath-lying

Don’t let this outfit fool you, I didn’t work out all weekend.

But I did spend a bunch of time on the water with this hunk!

It wasn’t that I was super unhealthy this weekend but it just wasn’t a priority. I’m making a pledge to y’all right now that I’m going to work out 3 times this week and eat healthy all week! Maybe I’ll actually put this outfit to work this week ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Yoga pants: Nordstrom – $28-$55

Tank top: Under Armour – $30 (black & grey)

Sweater: Nordstrom – $45 (currently out of stock)

Anyone else want to try to be healthy with me this week??

Fancy Pants Family Dinner

Any one of my friends will attest to the fact that I love anything fancy. However, I don’t always have a “fancy” budget. I love that Echo at the King and Prince Resort is able to provide fancy atmosphere and fancy food for only a semi-fancy price.

My parents, boyfriend, and I ended my parents visit with a nice dinner at this wonderful restaurant. I love the ambiance of this restaurant in the evening as you watch the sunset fall into the ocean out the giant windows overlooking the beach and pool area. Also, they often have bands playing live music in the bar area where couples often dance.

On to the important part, the food! As an appetizer we all shared some delicious mussels in white wine sauce with crusty bread. This is one of my favorite appetizers and it lived up to my expectations while involving a spin on the original with saffron in the sauce. As you can see below, we LOVED them. (Also, we dug into them so fast I didn’t get a picture of their beautiful presentation haha).

Next up was our fabulous entrees. I chose the Coastal Catch with Striped Bass and it was AMAZING. I loved the tender, flavorful fish and mashed potatoes. Look at all the beautiful food that we ordered!!

It was altogether a wonderful evening and I can’t wait to go back to enjoy the food and the view!

Thanks for reading, lovelies!

College Football Fever

I’m so happy that college football is back!! I graduated from Auburn University 3 years ago, being there are some of my favorite memories and cheering on the Tigers takes me back to those times. I’m not so great at the football strategy but I’m a GREAT cheerleader haha.

What makes this weekend even better is that my folks came to visit me this weekend! Living on the other side of the country from them makes me cherish my time with them even more. Doesn’t hurt that my Dad talks me through the strategy and mom cheers with me haha.

(Disclaimer: this was taken before the game and Dad hadn’t changed into his shirt – we do not support any red teams (especially Bama ๐Ÿคฎ))

I love this jersey, it’s about 5 years old and it was a bit expensive but it has been totally worth it. My secret is that this is actually a Youth XL! Buying a youth size will save you $15-25 and it’s basically the same size (but a little wider than an adult small).

What school do y’all root for??

The 90โ€™s are calling ๐Ÿ“ž

As a 90s baby, I never got to really enjoy the truly “iconic” fashion of the 90s haha. That being said, 90s throwback fashion is totally having a moment right here in 2018. As I’m getting to experience 90s-lite I’ve been incorporating some elements into my day to day. My fave currently is a long sleeve jacket/shirt tied around the waist.

Truthfully, this is a multi-tasking trend and I will seriously miss it when it dies. Firstly, two hands free to do things (like shop ๐Ÿ˜‰) while not loosing the potential comfort needed in changing stores…location’s climates haha. Second, if you tie it at your natural waist you can use it to pull focus to the smallest part of your silhouette giving a leaner look. Lastly, it can take an outfit and make it into a lewk.

Flannel: Walmart $10

This is actually a men’s flannel shirt that I bought at Walmart in college and I love the over-sized fit. I think this is a M or L.

Tank: Forever 21 $6

Skirt: Forever 21 $18

This isn’t the exact skirt I’m wearing but I feel like this is a good mix of modern and grunge-ish.

Shoes: Target $10 (currently out of stock)

Ked’s $40

Amazon $20 (Ked’s dupe)

Backpack: Target $37

I loved this look that I wore to dinner and a movie with my babe. Also, as a side note: this was a great look for the GA heat and then a cold movie theater once I snuggled up in my flannel. Fashion & Function!

Let me know what you lovelies think in the comments!

Birthday Party!

I had a birthday party on Saturday. This was a really big thing for me.

I’ve moved 3 times since I graduated college which has made it really difficult to make friends post-college. This year, I actually had enough friends in the same zip code as me to have a party. I am so thankful for the friends that I have made here in the Golden Isles andI can’t wait to celebrate more milestones with them.

Here are a few snaps from that night!

Dress: Amazon $20

Sunday Scaries be GONE!!

Hey Lovelies!

I don’t know about y’all but sometimes the Sunday Scaries hit me hard! Here are a couple of things that I do to try to combat the terror.

  1. Sunday is my skin care day. I usually do a mask Sunday evenings and tonight I chose a collagen eye mask that I found on Buzzfeed. They are super cheap and are great for an evening treatment or an all-nighter. Here’s hoping for younger looking eyes in the morning!! ($8 for 10)
  2. Comfy clothes is a must! Literally nothing is scary about a t-shirt dress that is so cozy it makes you want to fall asleep. I have recently been loving these Gap Factory t-shirt dresses (I have 2 of them haha). I love this pink one but it also comes in several other colors! ($20)
  3. Kitty snuggles literally make everything better. It’s science! According to some studies, it’s been found that a cat’s purring can actually help healing and reduce anxiety. So adopt a cat and cuddle it!! (But seriously, only adopt an animal if you are prepared for the commitment for it’s whole life. They’re only part of your world for a small while but you’re their whole world for their whole lives.)
  1. Meal prep for the week: I try to take healthy lunches to work during the week to control my mood and my waistline. I think one thing that helps me accomplish this is making a large amount of protein (pork tenderloin or chicken breasts or a sheet bake of some sort) on Sundays to make salads and the like during the week. This week, I’m trying some garlic & herbed rubbed chicken breasts from the butcher and roasting some asparagus to put over brown rice. Yum!
  2. If all else fails, pour yourself a glass of wine, gurl!! Don’t get too carried away because you do probably have to go to work tomorrow but one glass of wine will ease your nerves and make it easier to cope with the chaos of Monday being tomorrow!!
  • Well, lovelies, these are just the things that work for me. Let me know what you do to ease your scaries in the comments!
  • Tasseltown

    ๐Ÿ“Tasseltown, Population: Me!!

Loving this tassel-hemmed t-shirt dress from Amazon, totally complimented by my fabulous tassel earrings!

Super cute, easy outfit for a pedicure date with a girlfriend of mine.

Dress: Amazon ($15) sadly only available in in this color in L-2XL but it’s available in all sizes in a cute army green color

    Earrings: Similar ones

Purse: Goodnight Macaroon ($59) this is the plain version but you could make it your own with some craft supplies!

    Sandals: DressUp ($11)!!!

I’ve had a really rough week work-wise so it was great to have a girly pedicure date with a great girlfriend to vent and catch up. It’s extremely difficult for me (lots of us, really) to not have all the answers; and I was lacking a lot of answers at work this week. Being stretched professionally is painful at times but hopefully it pays off in experience Thankfully, my tower of cards is somewhat stable at the moment so I am working on relaxing.

How do you lovelies control your stress during difficult times??
