….and their right for great jeans!!

These high waisted rockstar jeans from @oldnavy are GREAT jeans! And what makes them even better is that they are currently 30+% off right now!! I will definitely be buying another pair or two while they are on sale and I can not recommend them enough. They hit at just the right spot on my tummy with enough stretch to be comfortable and the perfect wash.

Happy shopping, lovelies!

H&M Work Wear Try On

Hey lovelies!

I have a TON of work travel this month because of conferences and I realized that I haven’t bought new work clothes in AGES. So I made a little trip to H&M and photographed a work wear try on to inspire y’all to do a spring refresh on your work wear!

First up is a blouse that I liked so much that I bought! I’ve been all about yellow recently and this too was so springy and comfy I couldn’t resist. (Truth: I have this exact same top in 2 other patterns 😬)

Similar long sleeve top – $15

This outfit is so stinking cute! Add a pair of nude or black flats and you are work day ready. These pants run a little small so I would size up one, I’m wearing a 6 here but I definitely would have bought an 8. The top is true to size and I am wear a small.

Tie front blouse – $35

Slacks – $15

These photos do not do the color of the dress justice. It was such a pretty olive/army green that is very on trend for spring this year. TTS, wearing a size 6. $25

Loved this dress so much I tried it in the yellow version too! $25

I cannot tell you how much I love this outfit! This whole outfit came home with me. Medium in the skirt and small in the top TTS

Blouse – $15

Skirt – $35

This one was a strong contender in the “come home with me” category but sadly limited funds means limited choices.

Not the exact but very close – $35

Another similar – $15

Last but not least, this super cute dress. This would be perfect if your office is a little more fancy than casual.

$35

Stay tuned in two weeks for how I styled the 3 pieces that I picked up today!

Happy shopping, lovelies!

Real talk in teal Corduroy

The other night I went out to dinner for my Brunswick bestie’s birthday. It was a small little dinner with a few friends and significant others. I wanted to pull together a look that was “fall-y” since we were finally having some cooler weather.

So I pulled out a pair of jeans that I don’t think I’ve worn in probably 6 months. I truthfully don’t know how to feel when I tell you that they were uncomfortable to be in or to look at myself in. I could zip them but there was a significant amount on “muffin top” going on. These amazing teal corduroy bell bottoms were the only long pants in my closet that would fit me.

As some one who has struggled with an eating disorder this is almost something to be proud of. However, I’m not proud. I’m annoyed that it means that I’ve been slacking off going to the gym even though it’s something that makes me happy. I know that it means that I need to add more veggies to my weekend diet and drinking less the whole week.

So as I write this I am wearing gym clothes because I did a 30 minute treadmill interval workout, I had a salad for lunch and chicken noodle soup for dinner. I’m making my way back to balance as opposed to leaning heavily into restriction or indulgence.

The first outfit I put together was not exactly suited for 70 degree weather so get ready to see that later on this year but I did up putting together a fall-friendly outfit that still made me over dressed for my BFF’s birthday dinner (and I didn’t care one bit!).

Budget Babe

When the boyfriend says he wants to go to dinner and you know exactly what you want to wear, that’s a darn good night!

I’ve been so excited about this outfit since I bought this t-shirt. Also, this t-shirt and this overall dress are $20 combined!!

Leopard shirt: $8

Overall dress: $20

Happy Shopping lovelies!

On Wednesday We Wear Pink

Hey lovelies!

I love a good Mean Girls quote as much as the next 90s girl. And truthfully, I love this shirt just about as much.

This shirt comes in 16 colors and in standard and plus sizes.

Also, Dick’s Sporting Goods is having a sale right now so they are buy one get one 50% off (and some are even an additional 15% off). I’m literally going to grab a couple more colors while they’re on sale because I love them so much.

I bought this polo (and 3 other colors) when I became a manager at work and wanted to a little bit more of a professional look even in a casual environment. These shirts make getting ready in the morning a breeze. I don’t have to worry about an undergarment situation, so I just throw it on and go. (I will say that the white is a teensy but sheer though)

I’m wearing a small and I really like the fitted cut. This color is the rose violet. However, having a little bit of a longer torso, sometimes it does pop out of the tuck when I lean over.

As a girly-girl in male dominated field, I love that this (especially in this color) lets me still express my femininity.

Happy shopping!

Casual Fall-ish

When I asked y’all on Instagram stories what you wanted to see, several of you said outfits with booties. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!! I wore this to have dinner at JT’s work and he got told to “wife me up” by one of his co-workers so there you go lol.

All seriousness, I love a good t-shirt dress and this one is sooo soft with such a cute little detail on the front. A flannel shirt around the waist would also look super good instead of the chambray shirt I went with today. This outfit is also great when it’s officially fall but still 80 degrees here in south GA.

All of these items are old stand-bys for me so I linked some things that are similar at different price points!

Dress: Pink Lily Boutique – $37

Nordstrom Rack – $17

Amazon – $17

Chambray shirt: Pink Lily Boutique – $48 (denim jacket)

Nordstrom Rack – $25

Booties: Nordstrom – $100

Pink Lily Boutique – $39

Target – $35

Happy shopping, lovelies!!

For the love of the internet

I’m not going to lie to y’all right now… I lowkey hate this outfit.

I put this together and I was LOVING it. It was so cute and fall-y and I was excited.

I took one look at the pictures and all I could think was that I looked like I was going to a football game to root on the University of Alabama or Mississippi State University. My little Auburn-loving heart cried 😒.

But out of my love for all of you on the Internet I thought I owed you the service to show you this totally cute potential game day outfit.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ In all seriousness, I do love this outfit and will absolutely be wearing it again (just not on a Saturday in the fall πŸ˜‚)

Tee: Target – $8

Overall Dress: Amazon – $15 (also comes in 17 other colors)

Earrings: Bauble Bar – $26

Shoes: Nordstrom Rack – $40

Mini transitions

Hey lovelies!

As a shorter person, I wear a lot of mini skirts year round to help my tiny legs look longer. To make them more “seasonally appropriate”, I change up the rest of the outfit. I thought I’d show y’all how I style this geometric mini skirt for summer and a couple easy changes to make it fall (or winter in the South haha) appropriate.

So here is the basic outfit. It can be fancied up with heels or a different top but this is an easy brunch or hanging out look that I wear often in the summer. Below I’ve linked some similar items in this picture!

Tank: Nordstrom Rack – $10

Printed Skirts: Nordstrom Rack – $20

Vici Collection – $38

Hope’s – $36

SheIn – $17

This is the next iteration as the seasons begin to change. Again, this is an easy brunch, dinner, birthday party, what have you look.

Jean Jacket: Nordstrom – $99

Last, but certainly not least (and kinda my fave look). I love this duster and I think it’s fairly unexpected with a mini skirt but can add some warmth to a mini skirt outfit when the weather gets a little bit chilly.

Black Duster: Nordstrom Rack – $110

Nordstrom Rack – $27

How do y’all transition your summery clothes into fall?

Leopard Touches

Hey lovelies!

Have you heard that leopard is cool again? No longer is it for grandmas who still totally have “it”! Leopard is basically a Fall 2018 neutral. This is a lot for some gals to handle. One of my best friends said the other day “I don’t know what has to happen in my life to make me feel ok to wear leopard but I’m ready for it” πŸ˜‚. In light of this epic paradigm shift, I thought I’d show y’all how I would tip-toe into this leopard trend.

First of all, are these AMAZING leopard flats. They are a great, literally, “tip-toe” into this trend and would look great with jeans and almost any top. (Here I paired them with some black cords and this comfy green sweater for a look perfect for a Christmas party!)

Target – $20

This super cute belt is another great way to ease your way into this trend. Look this bad boy into a pair of high waisted pants and front tuck your shirt ( Ñ la Tan France 😍) and that is a LEWK, lovely.

Loft – $40

Another way to add leopard to your repertoire is a super cute clutch. This one from Red Dress Boutique is a super cute option for a night on the town and Brunch with the girls accompanied with a fun dress.

Red Dress – $35

Alright, hear me out on this one before you stop reading. This is a super cute top and paired with some other neutral items (jeans, black booties, a black cardigan or leather jacket) and it tones down the “extraness” of this top. Also, this would look super cute under a colored corduroy jumper dress.

SheIn – $8

Hopefully, this little guide helps y’all lean into this leopard trend!
